Crystal Oscillators - An Overview
Hy-Q International supply a comprehensive range of crystal oscillators. The products here cover a frequency range of 1 Hz to 1500 MHz.
Frequency stability over a temperature band is often the most important parameter to specify. Where this is not critical a Simple Packaged Crystal Oscillator (SPXO) will be the cost effective option. However, where tight stability is needed then a Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) may be required.
There are also many applications where adjustment of oscillation frequency is necessary, whether internally by means of a trimmer capacitor, or externally by application of a control voltage (VCXO). Where voltage control is applied to a TCXO the term VCTCXO is used. Examples of these are within the Hy-Q product range.
Should you require an oscillator with criteria outside the standard range then Hy-Q are happy to customise a product to meet your needs. As with all our other products, we recommend you contact our Sales Department for help with your application.
Clock Oscillators / SPXO
The Hy-Q range of Clock/SPXO Oscillators provides a low cost, space saving solution to the problem of integrating accurate timing sources into today’s high density PCB assemblies.
By specifying our clock oscillators, the system designer can eliminate the need to design RF oscillator circuitry, and the standard pin pitches of the half size (8-pin) and full size (14-pin) make PCB layout simple. Both packages are hermetically sealed and resistance welded, which ensure the best possible protection against hostile operating environments.
